Title: The Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence for D-groups Abstract: The Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence is a characterization of the primitive ideals of an algebra that holds for many classes of rings, including affine PI rings, enveloping algebras of finite-dimensional Lie algebras, and many quantum algebras. For rings satisfying this equivalence, it says that the primitive ideals are precisely those prime ideals that are locally closed in the Zariski topology and are also those prime ideals that are rational. We investigate a differential-algebraic/geometric analogue of this equivalence and show that it holds for a Dgroups, which we’ll define in the talk. We use this to show that the classical Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence holds for Hopf Ore extensions of commutative Hopf algebras. This is joint work with Omar Leon Sanchez and Rahim Moosa.

Titles versus titles and abstracts for initial screening of articles for systematic reviews

BACKGROUND There is no consensus on whether screening titles alone or titles and abstracts together is the preferable strategy for inclusion of articles in a systematic review. METHODS TWO METHODS OF SCREENING ARTICLES FOR INCLUSION IN A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW WERE COMPARED: titles first versus titles and abstracts simultaneously. Each citation found in MEDLINE or Embase was reviewed by two physic...

Active ingredients are reported more often for pharmacologic than non-pharmacologic interventions: an illustrative review of reporting practices in titles and abstracts

Key components of healthcare interventions include 'active ingredients' (intervention components that can be specifically linked to effects on outcomes such that, were they omitted, the intervention would be ineffective). These should be reported in titles and abstracts of published reports of randomized controlled trials (RCTs). However, reporting of non-pharmacologic interventions (NPIs), par...

- 1 - Conceptual Title Abstractions : Modeling and Querying Very Large

Organised units of interactive multimedia material, called “titles”, are becoming rapidly available beyond their original format, namely Compact Disks, and they appear in Digital Libraries and on the Web. For large collections of such titles, browsers and query mechanisms addressing the multimedia assets alone while reasonably well developed are inadequate: we lack techniques for efficient gene...

Who? What? Where? A snapshot of Nuclear Medicine Research Presentations from recent ANZSNM conferences in Australia and New Zealand.

Objective(s): The aims of this study were to: 1) discover location (by city) of contributors to poster and oral presentations at recent ANZSNM conferences; 2) determine the nuclear medicine themes most commonly explored; 3) establish institutions producing the highest number of oral and poster abstracts and 4) determine publication rates of conference abstracts to full...

The GUC Goes to TREC 2004: Using Whole or Partial Documents for Retrieval and Classification in the Genomics Track

We were interested in examining the relative effect of using parts of the documents, different combinations of parts of the documents, or whole documents on retrieval and classification. We were also interested in the effect of MeSH terms on retrieval. Our experiments show that indexing titles, abstracts, and MeSH terms for adhoc retrieval yielded statistically significantly better results than...
